Chandigarh to Manali three days trip

Himachal have always been a dream.

On Jan 20,2011 i together with three friends planned to make a trip to Manali to feel some change in whether and to enjoy holidays.
we decided, finally, to go in the month of June on three days tour to manali. We browsed through all possible internet sites and gathered every information about all places around manali and on the way to manali. All the booking for hotels and bus had been made.
We started our journey on March 23,2011. we reached at 43 ISBT Chandigarh around 6:00 o'clock in the evening.Departure  time for the bus was 6:30 Pm.
Bus was on time.
We loaded our luggage in the bus and finally our journey started on 6:30 PM.We had arranged camera, headphones along with us to enjoy every moment of time.
Chandigarh to Manali is around 365 km and it will take minimum 10 to 12 hrs by bus.we had started from chandigarh at 6:30 pm and we have reached manali at 5:00 am.Roads in himachal are very curved where one can enjoy the journey.Bus was moving with the speed of 30-40 Km/hrs in some areas.we were enjoying in the bus by capturing photographs from the bus.

Finally we reached at place for which we were anxiously waiting for.It is located at an altitude of 1829M,very beautiful place generally called Switzerland of India. We captured around 200 photographs in less than 2 hours.

There was long Que for the darshan,we also joined very peacefully.

We spend more time there.Solang valley is nearly 2500 Mtrs above sea level. We paid INR 750 from the peak most point and the total time was 45 minutes.Overall we enjoyed a lot at this place.

Then we could not go to Rohtang Pass becouse road was closed at that time.So we have to come back to home from there. The main market place is The Mall and we spend our evening after visiting tourist places. We did shopping there. Here all type of Indian food is availabe. The population of Manali is a mix of Kullus, Ladakhis, Tibetans, Kashmiris and Nepalis so the shops on the Mall sells handicrafts made by these communities mostly woolen were available at very attaractive price.
After that the time came when we had to come back to home.We spent night there in Hotel at manali and next day morning after taking breakfast we left the hotel and board into volvo bus around 10:00 am and reached at chandigarh around 8:00 Pm.

I would say those three days are memorable days of my life.
